Important Patient Notice

The practice remains open and your safety remains our priority.

Due to the covid 19 pandemic we have had to make some changes to the way we deliver your dental care.

Infection control is a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your previous visits. We are following the most up to date guidelines and our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable.

When you attend the practice for your next appointment, you will see some changes. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

  • We will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You will be asked those same questions again at your appointment.
  • We have hand sanitiser that we ask you to use when you enter the practice. You will also find some in other places in the practice for you to use as needed.
  • We no longer offer magazines, daily paper, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
  • Some appointments for treatments and scaling require a higher level of PPE and extra surgery time. We have allocated specific times for these appointments meaning there will not always be such a large choice of appointment times for these procedures

We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

How you can help:

  • With the exception of children and patients with carers, patients should come alone
  • Please wear a facemask to enter the practice unless you are in an exempt group and bring only essential belongings into the practice.
  • A distance of at least 2 meters must be observed if another patient is present in the dental practice.
  • Payment should be made by card where possible.
  • If you show symptoms following your appointment, you should contact the NHS on 119 and start the test and trace procedure
  • Please do not arrive without an appointment.
  • You are welcome to wait in the waiting room prior to your appointment, but seats are limited to allow for social distancing. You may wait in your car if you prefer but please let reception know that you have arrived for your appointment.
